• The CCNA is not a Course, it is a Career: One of the main mistakes when starting the study of the CCNA specialization is to think that with a month of reading and little practice you can pass. I invite you to see the study as a responsibility of constant improvement and medium to long-term commitment. Think and block at least 6 months to complete the cycle of preparation, study, practices, evaluations, and taking the certification exam.
• A disciplined mind achieves everything: Another fundamental topic for your CCNA studies and also, any specialization you take is “Discipline” and the most important is “Constant Discipline”. Create a plan and stick to it, even when your mind invites you to stop. This is the way to gain a formal discipline that leads you to build a continuous and powerful study habit to achieve your certification goal.
• Get out of your head that it’s easy: I learned many years ago that in this world “there is nothing easy or difficult, only known or unknown”. On the contrary, if your answer is no, then I strongly invite you to study a little more or as much as you need to learn and know the topics in which you still have weaknesses. As you can see it is a matter of knowledge, not speed.
• Assume the challenge of dominating the monster: That’s what it’s all about, making a commitment “to yourself and with yourself”. It is not for an employer or for your CV, this project is because you deserve it!!!. This is knowledge that you are going to achieve in order to improve your life, to improve your work and to continue expanding your career. From this point of view, the challenge is basic, committing with yourself and with your evolution. It is in your principles and values ​​as a human being, I mean, it is inside you. You don’t have to look outside or in the world of employability, look inside yourself and commit with yourself to achieve your goals.
• Master the content in its entirety: It is well known among my community of students that I always mention this to them,“When you feel ready to take the exam, it is because you are already a CCNA. All you have to do is go to take the exam so they can accredit you as a CCNA and send you the certificate from Cisco”. Do not make the mistake of going to take the exam, thinking that “I will possibly pass” or “Let’s see if I pass in this shot”. None of those sentences talk about“knowledge achieved”. Rather they talk about“doubts and lack of knowledge”. Remember that the exam is a series of questions on 12 macro topics that are included in the CCNA and where it is understood that “you have already mastered all of them”. There are no odds or gaps in achieving the CCNA certification. In my experience it is very similar to the two values ​​of a bit, 0 or 1, where 0 = No Mastering and 1 = Yes, I Master it!!!.
